The NB Health Link Program provides access to primary care for New Brunswickers that are un-attached to a primary care provider. As part of the NB Health Link team, the Program coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating programs and activities to ensure that all aspects run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to details, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

As a Program Coordinator, you will work with the program manager, medical director and other program staff. You will be intimately aware of all roles within the program, their operational and clinical workflows and how they work together. You will be responsible for all program data collection and reporting to ensure we track the program’s success and critical issues. The incumbent must be a self-starter, a skilled problem solver and great communicator.

Role & Responsibilities:

The Program Coordinator resource shall perform tasks including, but not limited to those identified in the sub-sections below.

Program Coordination and Support:

  • Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the programs are executed effectively.
  • Assist in program logistics including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor program progress, timelines, and milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external vendors and partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of program components.
  • Assist in the development of program goals and strategies.
  • Facilitate and attend program meetings, taking minutes and ensuring action items are tracked and completed.
  • Assist in the creation of program newsletters and communications.
  • Participate and support clinic expansion planning and execution.
  • Other tasks as required by the program.
  • Be an ambassador of the NB health Link program and EM/ANB.

  • Regularly collect and maintain data relevant to the program’s operations.
  • Compile monthly quarterly and annual reports summarizing program performance, challenges, and outcome.
  • Tailor reports to be audience specific for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, areas of improvement and success stories.
  • Present report findings in a clear and concise manner to relevant stakeholders, ensuring they remain informed about the program’s progress and any critical issues.

Education / Experience

  • Post-secondary education is preferred preferably in business administration, health care management, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in health care is required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in program coordination, project management or similar role.
  • Experience working with business owners in an operational environment

Knowledge / Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to grasp patient-centered design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Self-started and ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to target messages to different audiences and persuade to best fit solutions, and identify key communications in a timely manner.
  • Proven relationship management skills with an ability to build and maintain professional relationships, understands the principals of ’needs anticipation’ and acts as an advocate for all program stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills with respect to management of stakeholder expectations and task management.
  • Strong sense of teamwork, presenting a professional image and exhibiting a solid work ethic.
  • Service oriented.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required for this role.
