What you will do

As the Associate Manager, Supply Planning you will be responsible for the leadership, support and performance of the Supply Planning Team. You will support the team through hiring and development of talent, including succession planning.  You will be responsible for identifying continuous process improvement opportunities and driving solutions through the team while fostering engagement. In close collaboration with Demand Planning, you will develop strategies to maximize current on-hand supply, as well as ensure timely ordering and receipt of products for distribution to customers in accordance with performance goals. This is a hybrid role. We are seeking a candidate in Ontario or surrounding area. The employee is expected to be physically present at the Ontario Stryker location on a weekly basis but has the flexibility to work from home.

  • ​Develop and maintain strong partnerships/relationships with Division Supply Planning, Customer Service and IBP Representatives.  Actively participate in global/Division supply planning and executing meetings and advocate for Canadian business needs
  • Oversee the proactive and consistent communication of supply opportunities, issues and trends to commercial leadership and key stakeholders.  Strategize with these groups to identify and implement alternative supply plans as required.  Raise supply escalations with IBP when necessary
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure same-day fill rate and backorder root-cause, open order trends (revenue and quantity), and vendor performance (on-time delivery and defects)
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and other internal teams to ensure accurate ETAs are maintained in the ERP system
  • Lead departmental implementations of integrations; partner with divisional and global counterparts to ensure the supply chain is optimized
  • Develop and align technologies and workflow strategies to address operational efficiencies (EDI, ERP, other inventory planning tools)
  • Build and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the department by leading annual engagement sessions based on Q12/Pulse survey and ad-hoc feedback and ensuring action plans are documented and completed on-time
  • Create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team and cross functionally, enabling root cause problem solving and process improvement

What you need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Supply Chain Management or Finance  “preferred “
  • 6 years of work experience in an operations or commercial environment required of which 1+ year of previous supervisory or team leadership “preferred”
  • Purchasing Designation (S.C.M.P), APICS designation or MBA “preferred”
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification “preferred”
  • Related experience in the medical field “preferred”
  • Bilingualism (French and English) “preferred”

Travel Percentage: 10%
