Pre-Sales Solution Consultant – ADM Canada
Background & Purpose

As a pre-sales solution consultant, you will work closely with Account Executives, Solution/Business Consultants,
Global Services Consultants and Strategic Partners throughout to identify customer business requirements and drive critical steps in the sales process.
You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and be primarily responsible for supporting the sales cycles with detailed, deep technical domain expertise within a particular solution area or a cross-solution. You will establish a technical understanding and match between OpenText solutions and a prospect’s needs through compelling software demonstrations, outline of technical architectures, input to RFI/RFPs, and conduct Proof of Values (POVs).
As one of the key focus areas, the OpenText Application Delivery Management (ADM) product group adds new customers every year by helping them simplify and accelerate their IT Transformation with a modern, unified, and optimized platform for Application Delivery.
Job & Responsibilities
– Work closely with Account Executives to clearly communicate and sell the value and capability of OpenText’s™ Application Delivery Management Products and Solutions.
– Develop technical demonstrations specific to customer requirements.
– Build and deliver proof of concepts.
– Assist Account Executives in relationship management and developing technical sales information/tools.
– Interact with Sales, Global Services and Partners to create and finalize Solution offerings and initial Project delivery plans.
– Represent OpenText at Trade Shows and industry events.
– Participate in Territory/Account planning meetings.
– Identify potential opportunities based on known technical requirements of customers.
– Scope, create, and deliver custom software presentations and demonstrations and drive synergies from similar experiences.
– Research and complete technical RFx responses. Participate in the final review of the RFx response.
– Lead technical portions of design sessions. Document as-is and desired future state.
– Create technical solution deliverables and deliver the presentation of the recommended solution.
– Lead the completion of Proof of Concepts (POCs) by scoping the technical requirements and creating detailed use cases for the evaluation. Conduct the evaluation per POCs’ requirements, coordinate the efforts of additional team members, lead the execution of the Use Cases, present the findings, and reiterate solution benefits.
– Analyze data from various sources and synthesize alternatives to create innovative solutions that will meet and evolve beyond current requirements.

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a presales role and/or 8 years of IT experience related to Software Development or Quality Assurance.
– Technical or Business Bachelor’s Degree in a software technology discipline or equivalent work experience.
– Relevant experience with programming concepts and structures such as error handling and conditional logic.
– Specific knowledge and relevant experience of at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages.
– Relevant experience with the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and tooling used in that process, such as source code managers, continuous integration systems, and build platforms.
– Relevant experience with Quality Governance, including testing processes, software test management, and test automation solutions.
– Scrum Alliance certification as a Scrum Master and relevant work experience.
– Relevant work experience participating in a DevOps toolchain and a comprehensive understanding of DevOps processes and procedures, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery.
– Excellent understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, and automation.
– Demonstrated understanding and certification of one or more (AWS / Google Cloud Platform /Azure).
– Solid Presentation skills are required.
– You constantly maintain a passion to learn and grow your technical and social skills.
